Friends of the Library Mount Gambier. Events for November 2010

Tuesday 30th November at 7pm
Meet the Author - Peter Fitzsimons
author of Tobruk, Kokoda, Charles Mountford Smith, The Ballad of Les Darcy and his latest - A Simpler Time, the story of his happy Australian childhood.
(I've read it and loved it.)


A Library event with supper by FOL.
Please reserve your ticket at the Library for $5: includes wine-tasting with Herbert Vineyard and a delicious supper supplied by Friends of the Library.

Thursday 2nd December 11am - free

Sneak Peek at new books in the Multi-Function room and discuss them. Friends will talk about the new books they have read while we have a cup of tea or coffee.




Friday 3rd December at 6pm.

Book launch - free
Stan Thompson of ABC Radio will launch Peter Rymill's book Notes of a Journey to the South-Eastern District in January 1863.

Stan will be reading the book on radio during November and December - come along and meet the author and narrator.

Rymill wines will be available for tasting - gold coin donation.


Calling musicians of all ages!
We're looking for musicians to play and/or sing at the Library on weekends.
Help create a pleasant atmosphere and enjoy playing to an appreciative audience.
